Research interests
Given the rising importance of estimation of uncertainties in order to obtain reliable model predictions, I focus my modelling activity on Bayesian calibration and parameter estimates. My primary research interest is in the area of modelling forest ecosystem functioning, with particular focus on Carbon cycle and forest productivity. In My Ph.D. Thesis, I applied the Bayesian approach to calibrate forest models with different structure and complexity (both Light-Use Efficiency and process-based) in different forest biomes and plant functional types. In my current project, I am expanding that experience working on ecological processes such as competition and niche portioning.
