Research Interests
My current research interests include phylogenetic comparative methods with a particular focus on evolution of mammalian climate niches through time. By combining species phylogenies and present day climate niches we are now able to reconstruct the ancestral climate niches, and get insights on which evolutionary processes are responsible for the patterns we see today. This field offers versatile tools to explore a plethora of questions involving evolution of particular ecologies, traits, historical biogeography, as well as hot topics of niche evolution potential in response to climate change.
